Myths about Oils

For years I have been seeking alternatives to all the chemicals, additives and dangerous drugs that are add to things we eat, breathe, clean with and consume in many ways.

In 2010 my mom was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, but she got over her “poor woes me” attitude and realized that what she had been doing might not have prevented the cancer that was already inside of her but it just might have been what helped her survive it. I believe that God gave us what we need to care for ourselves and we just need to learn how to use those sources.

I have read so much controversy over essential oils, herb healing powers and healthy alternatives. I have read many nah-sayers who don’t believe they work. Well, I can only speak for myself, but I have found things that work great for me, my friends and family. Sometimes it took trying different blends, combinations and ways to apply to find the right one for me.

I absolutely believe there is a big difference in brands of essential oils. I do not believe cheaper is the way to go. You must have quality oils to be successful, cheap oils never worked for me and many of them caused reactions also. I found Young Living when a Friend started using them and after reading, reading, reading and comparing, I chose Young Living essential oils too. Young Living owns many of its own farms and distilleries, then they work with other farms who meet the high standards Young Living insists on.

I hear this the most: “If I purchase a Young Living starter kit I will have to place large monthly orders and be forced to sell”. Also this one "All Essential Oil Brands are Created Equal". But before I explain some of these things let me say I am not looking for people who just want to make money easy, this just like any business you start takes knowledge and belief in what you are selling. If you want to learn more about oils, live a healthier life, go green, and make some money doing it then this is for you.

First: “have to place a huge monthly order.” YOU are in full control of what and when you buy. Young Living only requires a minimum of 50 PV (product value) in a 12 month period to keep your account active and access to the 24% off retail pricing. Young Living does offer a program called Essential Rewards so you can reap the benefits of exclusive monthly promos, free products and the opportunity to earn points you can cash in for oils and other YL products. Young Living allows YOU to choose what you receive. You can increase or decrease your order, change the items in your order and even change the monthly processing.

Next: “I'll be forced to sell.” This will never happen. Everyone has the option to sell but no one is ever required to. I never thought I would be doing this as a business, I started by having a friend buy the oils I wanted to try for myself. Then as I found that they worked for me in many ways I started trying new ways. Then my friend suggested I take control of my own ordering so I did. By this time I was using several oils regularly so I ordered the  Premium starter Kit which saved me a lot of money.  Then I joined the Essential Rewards program and setup a monthly order. Next I was talking to a friend about my use of oils and how they helped me, and she wanted to try them and started the same way I did, when the oils worked for her she too signed up and bought the same kit I bought.

The potential income and concept of residual income is real, I can now say it is the best and easiest job I have ever had. Read Young Livings Income Disclosure HERE.

The last myth: "All Essential Oil Brands are Created Equal"
Essential oils are sold everywhere including big discount chains, local grocery stores, health food markets, flea markets and everywhere on the internet. Many may be labeled 100% pure or organic but because this industry is unregulated might not be true. Some companies only use about 5 percent of essential oil and then top it off with carrier oil or synthetic chemicals to boost the smell and some essential oils may not even contain a drop of the oil that’s on the label. Please beware and do your research, cheaper is not always best.

Young Living’s essential oils are made and grown using very stringent standards, strictly monitored and they participate in each step of the oil production. Young Living offers a  “Seed to Seal” guarantee which is something that few, if any, essential oil company’s offer. The Young Living “Seed to Seal” process includes picking the very best seeds, harvesting crops at just the right time to take advantage of the maximum therapeutic benefits, extracting and distilling, testing, and packaging and labeling. Young Living pays attention to every small detail. Read more about  "Seed to Seal" HERE.

I am not an expert in oils, but I do have many favorite ones that I use all the time. I believe they are a great way to live better and healthier. Educating myself will be a forever thing, I am always reading, researching, and making new products to try and to replace the chemical laden things I use.

Vinegar Hair Rinse

Had to steal this from my moms blog hehehehehehe

To use essential oils in hair care they should not be applied directly to your hair or scalp. They should first be mixed with a carrier oil or can be diluted in vinegar. Essential oils are expensive but do NOT use the cheaper fragrance oils. These are synthetic, can cause skin irritation and provide none of the benefits of natural botanical essential oils.

Essential oils are very strong and many can be skin irritants if not used correctly. Lavender is one of the very few essential oils that can be used directly on the skin, others will irritate skin if used full strength. Essential oils are expensive. But do NOT use the cheaper fragrance oils because these are synthetic, can cause skin irritation and provide none of the benefits of natural botanical essential oils.

Apple cider vinegar contains natural alpha-hydroxy acid which gently exfoliates the scalp and hair, removal of dead skin cells and build up that can occur from hair products. For conditions such as dandruff, apple cider vinegar can bring relief because of its anti-viral, anti-fungal, and anti-bacterial properties. In addition to being antimicrobial, apple cider vinegar is also anti-inflammatory, which can counteract the skin inflammation that typically occurs with dandruff and a dry, flaky scalp.

I have used white vinegar and Braggs Organic Raw Unfiltered Apple Cider Vinegar, I had good results with both kinds.

Apple Cider Vinegar Hair Rinse by Coconuts & Kettlebells

2-4 tbsp raw apple cider vinegar
16 oz cool water
1-2 drops lavender oil

Directions
Mix all the ingredients in a bottle. After shampooing and rinsing your hair, lean your head back, pour the rinse over your entire scalp, allowing the mixture to run through your hair. Be careful to avoid contact with your eyes (I did it only once). Let the mixture sit on your hair for 1-2 minutes. Then, rinse throughly.

Another recipe, this is one that is very similiar to the one I used to use and I think I will try again:

Vinegar Conditioner for Healthier Hair

Mix one part of vinegar (apple or white) with three to four parts of water. (Experiment to see if you prefer apple or white vinegar as well as stronger or weaker hair rinse.)
Apply the vinegar mixture to your shampooed hair
Let it sit for a couple of minutes. Then, rinse. I do hope you like the smell of vinegar, it does not last long. (*** I only used 2 parts water)

Residual income

Imagine getting paid years later on the efforts you put forth today - that is how you are paid in Young Living's lucrative compensation plan.

OK talking income here so view Young Livings Income discloser here

Residual income is money that you continue to make from one time efforts. Residual income is money that is generated on a recurring basis from work you have done once. The reason that Residual income is so popular is because it has the benefit of being different from the income you make from a regular job. With a regular job, you get paid once for your hours of effort, unlike “residual income,” which pays you many times for your effort.

The reasons for joining Young Living are as diverse as our product offerings. Some members are attracted to the compensation. Young Living offers, some wish to discover a sense of purpose and independence, while still others simply want to enjoy wholesale access to superior products.

Whatever our members’ reasons for joining, Young Living is committed to the quality and authenticity of our product line and believe that our Young Living family shares this common belief.

 Realizing the opportunity
Many of us have already experienced the increase in wellness as a result of using the Young Living products in our lives every day. Whether it has been born as a result of exploring alternative ways of caring for our bodies, reducing chemicals in our homes and environments, or looking for 100% pure and natural supplements, we have become product users and benefactors of increased wellness and vitality.

Let’s start with another question:
What would you do with an extra $300-500+ a month? Let’s multiply that. How about an extra $3000-5000 per MONTH? How about more?

Did you know that Young Living also provides its members with an avenue for increasing abundance in the way of income? Yes! From the many people that I have talked to, it seems that there is a general knowledge of this opportunity, but not a real good understanding of what it is. Many people think it is difficult, or dramatically different from what they are already doing, or will require them to suddenly pepper their social media sites with all things Young Living. Let me assure you…the Young Living income opportunity is there for the taking. You can work your business in whichever way suits your preferences. No…you do not need to become “the crazy oil lady”. You can run your business your way. Interested?

Our Journey Begins.
The Young Living products have been a part of our lives since our introduction into the company in 2014. I used the oils to make my own household cleaners, DIY beauty products, and so much more. We found that we saved so much money by making our own products AND cut out toxic chemicals lurking in our home. The products have helped to promote wellness physically, mentally, and spiritually for our entire family. In times of crises in our family, there have been two things that we have turned to: prayer and essential oils. Turns out, these two things are a perfect match, and one supports the other. We have shared with our friends and family, creating a network of healthy, like-minded people who appreciate the support of Young Living and the role of the products in promoting wellness.

After just 5 months of building our business, we have created a stream of residual income of $500 a month and growing fast. We have team members who are working this business part-time to earn $300-$1500 a month, and others who are close to replacing their full-time job and bringing their spouse on board to build together.
Ready to learn how you can do this too and what it takes to get started? Keep reading…

How does that sound? Amazing, right? Who wouldn’t want to do all of that?
Working the Young Living opportunity and creating abundance is not complicated or expensive. Any wholesale member of Young Living has the opportunity to earn income. Here are a few things to consider:

1. Become an Independent Distributor
Sign up with a wholesale membership to become an independent distributor. The great thing about becoming an independent distributor is that it’s a low investment to start up. It’s just $160 for a starter kit, which includes 11 oils, a diffuser, and other goodies. This kit is worth about $300 – so it’s nearly half off. There’s no additional start-up fees. Plus, you’ll need that kit to share the oils with others.

2. Use Your Oils
Once you get your starter kit, start using the oils. Learn more about each one and take the time to build your own testimonial for each oil in the kit.  do you need to know everything? Absolutely not! No one expects you to be an expert. Even we are still learning. But you do want to take every chance to use the oils so you can talk about them with others. We recommend you take every opportunity to share your testimonials. We don’t need to focus on sickness or disease. We have so much to talk about with wellness, cleaning, beauty, cooking and so much more.

3. Share and teach
Look for opportunities to share the oils with others. Teach classes in your home (just use your starter kit and talk about how you use the oils) to family and friends. This could be as simple as three friends around a kitchen table, or a packed room of 20 or more. Do what feels natural for you. You can even just schedule a 1:1 with a friend who can’t make it to a class. Make it fun. Meet at a coffee shop and bring your starter kit.

teaching classes and sharing the oils is all about education. There’s NO SELLING at all. Just teach classes and then help people sign up with their own account through you. That’s how you earn bonuses and commissions from Young Living. You don’t have to actually stock the oils yourself, or set up a payment system to take orders. Just teach and share, then use your sign-up link (I’ll show you how to get yours once you sign up with me) to get others to sign up. Easy right?

4. Earn Money
Man that was easy  So what’s next? You earn money!  Young Living’s compensation plan is very generous, and the best part about it is that you have the ability to earn residual income. So how does that work?

Here it is in a nutshell: When you sign up a new wholesale member who also gets a Premium Starter Kit, you earn $50.
• $25 for the Starter Kit Bonus
• 25% commissions for the first 3 months for the Fast Start Bonus – that 25% commission is based on 100 PV (personal volume), which is $25 (the Premium Starter Kit is 100 PV even though the actual cost is $160, that’s the PV value)

So sign up a friend with a Premium Starter Kit and earn $50. If that friend orders again in month 2 or 3, then you earn 25% commissions on that order. Plus, you earn 10% commissions on anyone your new person signs up too.
I mentioned earlier there’s no monthly minimum. That’s true. However, you’ll be leaving money on the table if you don’t spend 100 PV (every product is assigned PV value – consumables are usually 1:1 so if an oil costs $25, then it will have 25 PV but there are some exceptions with tools and diffuser) to earn the Starter Kit and Fast Start Bonuses. So technically you don’t have to spend that 100 PV, but you’d be missing out on free oils with that order. Just 2 sign ups will pay for your order ( $50 each kit sales x2 = $100)

But imagine when you get 3 sign-ups? You’ll earn almost enough to cover your Premium Starter Kit. Enroll more people in a month, and you’re making even more money. After a member is with you for 3 months, you can qualify for unilevel commissions (8% of their total PV for the month) when you spend 100 PV. At this point, you’ll see that those you’ve signed up will start sharing too. And with unilevel commissions, you earn on members on your level 2, 3, and so on.

You also earn 24% commissions when you sign up retail members, but you don’t earn residual income. For that reason, I always recommend wholesale membership – which is just an awesome deal any way you look at it and builds you up for financial freedom.

I could go on and on but attached is a video that truelly explains Residual income at its best.
